More than small inhabitants
Yordles are magical beings associated with the spirit realm and Bandle City. Their appearance alone does not explain their nature, and their experiences of time can differ sharply from those of mortals. Bandle’s uncertain geography reflects that distinction. The home of the yordles cannot be placed on a conventional map in the same way as a walled human capital.
Different lives, different loyalties
Teemo organises exploration through the Bandle Scouts. Poppy has spent an immense part of her life following a duty bound to Demacia. Lulu’s travels are shaped by Pix and the magic of the Glade. None of these paths defines every yordle. Their interests, relationships and choices create distinct identities, even when they share a connection to Bandle.
Wonder can disorient
In Lulu’s story, a game that seems delightful to its author can leave mortals frightened or transformed. This is a useful way into the difference between magical experience and human expectations. Yordles should not be treated as harmless mascots, nor as a uniform threat. A character’s intentions and the consequences of their magic may point in very different directions.
A way to connect distant regions
Yordle lives connect Bandle to human histories without reducing one to the other. Poppy’s relationship with Orlon’s hammer makes her part of Demacia’s memory; Heimerdinger’s scientific career belongs to Piltover. These connections are useful when exploring the atlas: birthplace, present home and political allegiance need not match. A region can include several kinds of people without becoming their exclusive homeland.
