The wind gives the valley its name
Wind passing through hollow rock formations creates the disorienting whistling associated with the Valley of the Song. This remote pass is dangerous not only because of terrain: the source describes marauders who have lost their hearing and prowl it at night.
Why this place matters
The accompanying artwork also shows Shuriman raiders and Shakkal, whose equipment supports swift attacks. These images explain a broader environment of ambush and survival; they should not be read as a precise encounter list or as a promise of future MMO enemies.
