Schools, gardens and resistance

At the heart of Navori, the Placidium is a sacred destination for study and meditation. Its schools and magical gardens made it important long before the Noxian invasion. That importance also made it a powerful symbolic target for an occupying army.

Why this place matters

Irelia’s resistance transformed it into a landmark of collective memory. The victory and its cost sit beside its older identity as a place of harmony. It is a useful starting point for understanding why Ionia’s factions disagree about the use of force after the war.
