Living on the slopes
Targon is both an immense mountain and the home of communities adapted to its slopes. Rakkor life depends on climbing skills, hardy animals, seasonal movement and equipment that can be carried or stored along steep routes. Religious practice is woven into that daily effort. The summit draws attention, but most inhabitants live with the mountain rather than attempting its legendary ascent.
The sun and the forbidden moon
The dominant Solari faith venerates the sun and maintains a powerful religious and military tradition. The Lunari practise their devotion to the moon under persecution. Leona and Diana embody these celestial powers, while their personal histories complicate the division between the two faiths. Temples, shrines and astronomical instruments reveal how closely belief and observation of the sky are connected.
What an Aspect changes
Some people who survive the ascent return bound to celestial powers known as Aspects. This is not the same process as Shuriman Ascension, and it does not erase every mortal story in the same way. Atreus, who bears the name Pantheon, survives the death of the divine power that once possessed him. His resistance makes mortal agency central to a region often described through gods.
