A monument that transformed lives
The Sun Disc channelled the power used in Shuriman Ascension. It was not simply a symbol above the capital: the ritual could transform chosen mortals into god-warriors. Its fall belonged to the destruction of the imperial order, while its restoration accompanies Azir’s return.
Why this place matters
Nasus, Renekton and Xerath reveal radically different relationships with this power. Reading their biographies prevents the monument from becoming an abstract magical machine. Its history is also about who was considered worthy, who was excluded and what happened when that hierarchy broke apart.
