The rebellion that opened a wound
Icathia was a vassal state of ancient Shurima whose rebellion unleashed the Void. The attempt to defeat an empire brought a force that overwhelmed those who called upon it. The ruined land is therefore both a historical site and a continuing sign of danger.
Why this place matters
The Ascended who fought there carried lasting scars, a connection developed in Nasus’s and Aatrox’s biographies. Icathia links the imperial history of Shurima to the later darkin wars and to threats that cannot be understood as ordinary territorial conflict.
